“Trump 45 was the most free-market President in history concerning energy and environmental policy. Expect Trump 47 to be more so.”

Energy: The Master Resource is poised to get much deserved, overdue respect in 2025. The termite aspirations of Biden/Harris puppet masters (think John Podesta et al.) are going to be reversed, and hopefully in a way where a resurrection is politically impossible.

Here are some quotations from Trump’s think tank AFPI and then from Trump himself before his election that indicate Promises Made, Promises Kept.

This candidate profile was just released by the American Energy Alliance, the advocacy arm of the Institute for Energy Research (IER).

“Kamala Harris has a plan for American energy: make it harder to produce and more expensive to purchase.”

President Biden ended his reelection campaign on Sunday, July 21, under mounting pressure from Democrats following his poorly received debate performance. By endorsing Harris, he has positioned her as the frontrunner to succeed him. However, there is still some degree of uncertainty looming as Democrats hurriedly work to assemble a new 2024 ticket before the party’s convention on August 19-22 in Chicago.  

Harris’ stance on energy, both during her tenure as a senator and as a candidate in the 2020 Democratic presidential primary, was to the left of Biden’s, leaning more towards far-left positions that favor government control and political direction of energy production. …

It’s a start. It took me a few dozen tries, but the definition has come from a (not-so) free market electricity advocate, Mike Giberson. Maybe Lynne Kiesling, woman of system and “The Queen of Electricity Markets,” will be next.

Fake free marketeers at the Niskanen Center and at R Street Institute are a plague on sound public policy analysis regarding electricity and other climate/energy issues. The sad case of Jerry Taylor of Cato and Niskanen is recounted here and here. But the problem also is with the energy specialists at R Street, including senior fellow Giberson. Mike Giberson knows his energy stuff and was/is free market in many areas, except for electricity.…

“Pumping gases underground is only sensible if it brings real benefits such as using waste gases to increase oil recovery from declining oil fields – frack the strata, pump in CO2, and force out oil/gas.”

Carbon-capture-and-underground-storage “(CCUS)” tops the list of silly schemes “to reduce man-made global warming.” The idea is to capture exhaust gases from power stations or cement plants, separate the CO₂ from the other gases, compress it, pump it to the chosen burial site and force it underground into permeable rock formations. Then hope it never escapes.

An Australian mining company who should know better is hoping to appease green critics by proposing to bury the gas of life, CO2, deep in the sedimentary rocks of Australia’s Great Artesian Basin.

They have chosen the Precipice Sandstone for their carbon cemetery.…
